Dreams: A Window Into Infinite Possibility

+ 20 Tips For Intentional Dreamwork!

Dreamwork is one of the most potent forms of intuitive development and creativity. Dreams are a consistent access point to our subconscious, emotional world and the collective superconscious. Dreamtime is a perfect opportunity to uncover what patterns are holding us back/what areas of life need healing. It is also a powerful space to ask questions and connect to your higher-self or higher-guidance. Dreams offer us more than just answers and healing; throughout history dreams have been the source of creative inspiration for many inventors, artists and entrepreneurs (think Salvador Dalí, The Beatles, & Nikola Tesla). What an exciting tool/resource to tap into while resting! And we haven’t yet discussed lucid dreaming (Lucid dreaming occurs when you are “awake” in the dream and able to create change and experience the realm of infinite intelligence - travel, fly, breathe underwater to name a few).

If this has you excited…let’s start with the basics.

  • How to dream intentionally?

  • How to remember your dreams

  • Dream interpretation

20 Tips For Intentional Dreamwork

  • EVENING ROUTINE:

    • Limit screen use for an hour or so before bed

    • Clear your mind with breathwork, meditation, or journaling

    • Clear your energy with water - I recommend a spiritual bath with herbs/oil or scrub if you only have access to a shower

    • Welcome in the dreamstate in with sound - waves or healing frequencies work well (4HZ-8 HZ helps the brain access the theta state and supports lucid dreaming)

    • Use magnesium spray to calm the nervous system and prepare for rest

  • HERBAL SUPPORT:

    • Plants are our allies when it comes to promoting dreams - tune into the list below for a range of supportive herbs that can be used in tea, tinctures, capsules & bath

      • Essential Oils: chamomile, lavender, peppermint, & clary sage

      • Herbs: ginkgo, chamomile, passion flower, mugwort, valerian, lemon balm, eyebright, oat straw, lavender, peppermint, cava, wild asparagus, Ormus, & Calea Zacatechichi - Herbal Support + Products

  • PREPARE YOUR SPACE:

    • Remove high emitting EMF devices from your bedside (phone, tablet, computer)

    • Reduce clutter and consider Feng Shui principles in your bedroom - Feng Shui For Better Dreams

    • Utilize crystals that support your dreamwork - I recommend Orgonite

    • Herbal bed spray is helpful to prepare your space for enhanced dreams + relaxation - Dreamy Bed Spray Product

  • CREATE INTENTION:

    • Right before your fall asleep repeat your intention. This could be something specific you’d like to work with or a general dreamstate enhancement

    • Ex. “Tonight I will dream and awake in perfect time to remember”

  • DREAMTIME:

    • The most potent time for dreams is in REM sleep (rapid eye movement) - typically between 3-6am

    • Wake yourself up - set alarms during this window to help you remember your dreams and work with lucidity in this in-between place

    • Eye mask - to promote deep sleep and support this intentional wake up strategy, I recommend this eye mask that allows rapid eye movement and is super comfy

  • RECORD:

    • Choose a journal dedicated to dreamwork

    • Upon awakening, move slow and record all the dream details you can remember - not the time for reflection and finding meaning - simply record

  • INTERPERATE + SHARE:

    • Dream interpretation is a practice - look for reoccurring patterns or themes and keep track in your journal

    • Carl Jung’s A Man and His Symbols is a great recommendation for universal dream interpretation

    • Share your dreams, create a trusted group of friends/family/colleague to share your dreams with and practice interpretation. There is no WRONG way to interpret dreams, it’s all about how your receive it - tap into your body and notice what feels true to your heart when listening
